Let me know about the tournament that made your day.
Mine would have to be the 2005 North American Open.

"Chess is a form of intellectual productiveness, therein lies it's peculiar charm. Chess, like love, like music, has the power to make men happy." -Siegbert Tarrasch

My favorite tournament story has to be from way back in the early 1980s, when I had to beat a little old lady, Hilda Adrian, on Mother's Day to win a $20 Under-1600 prize at the old Boylston Chess Club in downtown Boston. I remember it was a Caro-Kann Panov-Botvinnik attack where I kept up the pressure as white all the way through. People gave me crap for beating a little old lady, but I guess that's tough. Want me to try to find the game? ;-)
Ray,
Chess is a competitive game played by people of wide diversity in age. Hope you displayed good sportsmanship since that's what counts. I'd love to see the game if you could find it.
